FAQ

What you'll find here: answers to our most-commonly asked questions.
What you won't find: much else, it's really all about the FAQs.

Who is this stuff for?

It’s for everyone. You, them, her, him, us – everyone. All skin types, all hair types, all people (except for kids under 3). These products are essentials. Made for people who get that simple is better. Who don’t want to be sold more and more of what they don’t need. Sound like you?

Where's it all made?

In France. We don’t compromise on quality, so we produce where cosmetic expertise runs deep. Our manufacturing partners are carefully selected for their know-how, reliability, and high standards — just like ours. And yes, we’re proud of it. So proud, in fact, that you’ll find “made in France” on every package.

What's with your formulas?

The thing about our formulas is that they damn well work. We’ve tested them so we know. They are short. There’s no list of 100 chemicals and no hyped-up trendy ingredients. They are natural. There’s no greenwashing, no over-complication or bogus science – it’s the best ingredients we can find, put together in the best way possible. Strictly no BS. And if one day we find a way to improve, we make a change and we tell you about it.

What ingredients are on your no-go list?

Plenty. We won’t slap “Free From” on the label — legally we can’t, and honestly, we’d rather not. But we do believe in being transparent.
So here’s exactly what you won’t be putting on your skin:
petrochemical ingredients (mineral waxes, pastes, oils) / PEGs and PPGs / alkylamines (MEA, DEA, TEA) / EDTAs / synthetic preservatives not approved by COSMOS (including parabens, phenoxyethanol, triclosan, chlorphenesin) / phthalates / phosphates / harsh synthetic surfactants (SLS, SLES, ALS) / synthetic antioxidants (BHA, BHT) / silicones / nanomaterials / synthetic fillers and colorants. And just to be clear: no animal-derived ingredients either.
In short? If an ingredient raises questions for your health or the environment, we leave it out. Like we said: no, thanks.

What's natural about this stuff?

Almost everything. 95-100% natural ingredients in every product. And for the other 0.1-5% we make sure it’s safe. That’s the thing about these products, they’re made to make you feel good. So we make sure there’s nothing bad in them. Oh, and for the regulation nerds out there – us included – everything is calculated as per as the globally-accepted calculation standard ISO16128.

Do they really work?

Yeah, they do, and we know they do, beyond a doubt. We’ve tested every single product. We tested them in labs, we tested them on consumers, and it’s all done independently so you can trust the outcome. We don’t believe in all that phony marketing BS. We don’t work miracles, we just use really great active ingredients in really effective quantities and that’s why you can trust them to work.

Talk to me - is this stuff hypoallergenic?

Here’s the deal: we can’t legally call a product “hypoallergenic” unless it contains zero allergens or allergen precursors. And honestly, we focused on making formulas that work first.
That said, every product is formulated, tested, and okayed for sensitive skin — including ophthalmological safety where relevant. Before launch, each formula also undergoes a full Product Safety Assessment and Toxicological Review, conducted by an independent safety assessor.
So yes — they’re safe. They’re solid. Use them if you like. Or don’t, if you don’t.

Is everything pregnancy-safe?

Every product is designed to be safe for pregnant and nursing people to use. But always follow the advice from your doctor and check with them if you’re unsure or have specific concerns. We leave the medical stuff up to them.

Can I use this if I'm vegan?

Yep, all our products are vegan. No honey, no beeswax, no lanolin, no problem.

Do you ever test on animals?

No. Never. And actually, in the EU it’s illegal to test on animals. Legally you’re not even able to say ‘Not tested on animals’. Not that we would test that way anyway. Who wants to hurt those little critters?

Sustainability - what are you doing about it?

As much as we damn well can. Look, we say it’s about taking responsibility, so here’s what we’re doing, transparently laid out for you to see: our raw materials are genuinely and thoroughly thought through. Our factories are officially GMP / ISO 22716 norm compliant, CSR approach & EcoVadis Recognition if you want to check it out. Every ingredient is traceable and sourced for quality, coming from local suppliers. And our packaging in aluminium? Infinitely recyclable. You won’t find us in landfills. Same goes for our shipping packs – all made from one material and easy to recycle.

What do they smell like - do you use perfume?

There’s no added fragrance in anything you put on your face, and natural perfume in our body and hair products. It’s safer and just the way we do things.

Do your products have an expiry date?

Yes — like all beauty products, ours do. Unopened, they have a shelf life of three years. Once opened, they should be used within 12 months (you’ll find the number inside the little open-jar symbol on the packaging).

All our products are made in small, fully traceable batches. If you ever want to check whether a product is still in date, just email us the batch number and we’ll tell you exactly when it was made.

How should I store my products?

To keep your products performing at their best for as long as possible, store them at room temperature, away from light and moisture, and avoid freezing. Treat them well, and they’ll return the favour.

How can I pay?

Pretty much however you like. We accept all major credit cards, as well as PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Please note: very occasionally we might have to cancel an order due to a payment or processing issue. If that happens, we’ll always get in touch to let you know and guide you through the next steps.

What currency are your prices in?

They’re all displayed in Euros. Look out for the € symbol. If you’re paying in a different currency, your order will be charged at the current exchange rate. There’s no extra cost, but prices may vary slightly from one order to the next.

When will I be charged for my order?

When you place your order we’ll charge you, process it, pack everything up and get it out to you in a jiffy.

Where do you ship to, and how long does it take?

This website ships within the European Union only.
If you’re looking to have an order delivered to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), please head over to asanonbeliever.com/uk.

All orders are dispatched within 1-2 business days – unless we let you know otherwise, of course. From there, delivery timing depends a little on where you are. As a guide, allow 1-3 business days within the EU from the moment you receive your dispatch email.

What's the deal with Import, Duty, VAT and Customs Fees?

If you live in the EU, we take care of it. You’ll have nothing extra to pay.

Can I track my order?

Sure you can. You can check the status of your order anytime by logging into your account. We’ll also send the tracking number straight to your inbox, so you can follow your parcel as it travels to you. Pretty neat, huh? If you ever have trouble tracking it on the courier’s website, just let us know.

What if I miss delivery?

Once you have your tracking number, make sure to keep an eye out for deliveries. Different couriers have different policies for missed deliveries, so you can check their websites for the details.

The important bit? Always double-check your delivery address before confirming your order. Once the order is in, making any changes becomes tricky and will require contacting our customer service. And we all know there’s nothing more annoying than seeing your products end up at someone else’s door.

Why don't you offer next-day delivery?

The short answer: express shipping comes with a heavier environmental cost.
The longer answer: shipping and logistics are carbon-intensive, and speeding them up reduces the ability to consolidate orders. That means more trucks, more trips, more emissions… all for a parcel that arrives one day sooner.

Give us a little time and we can ship much smarter. We group nearby orders to keep journeys to a minimum.
Bottom line: if everything ran just a bit slower, the planet would notice.

What if my product arrives damaged or incorrect?

Look, we’d love to live in a perfect world, but we know sometimes things go wrong.

If you receive the wrong item: contact us with your order number and a photo of what you received. We’ll sort it out.

If your product arrives damaged:
First, take a second to check whether the product itself is actually damaged or unusable. If it is, get in touch and include your order number and a photo of the damaged item.

If not?
Here’s the thing. We use aluminium packaging because it’s one of the most recyclable materials out there. But aluminium can dent, and smooth surfaces can scratch. We believe what matters most is what’s inside.
So before creating waste from a product we can’t resell — and adding emissions with a replacement shipment — ask yourself: can the product still be used?

It’s not radical thinking, but repeated many times over, it genuinely makes a difference.

How do I return stuff?

Returns are free, whether you’re returning all or part of your order — as long as the items are unopened, unused, and sent back within 14 days of delivery. We’ve kept the process simple:

1. Request your return
If you have an account, log in, head to Orders, hit Refund next to the relevant order, follow the steps and submit your request — we’ll take it from there.
No account? Just fill in the Contact form with your details and let us know what you’d like to return (and why, if you like). It helps us to understand any issues and do better in future if we can.

2. Check your inbox
Once your request is approved, we’ll email you a prepaid return label. You’re free to use another courier if you prefer, but return costs will then be at your expense.

3. Pack and drop off
Pack the items you’re returning in their original packaging or in a well-padded box. Attach the return label and drop the parcel off with the courier.

4. Sit tight
Once your return has been received and processed, we’ll send you an email to confirm. Refunds usually appear within 1–5 days, depending on your bank.

5. Still waiting?
If you haven’t heard from us within 10 days, email us at hello@asanonbeliever.com and we’ll check it out.

Need help with a return? Customer Service are ready and waiting.

Not at the moment. The easiest option is to place a new order and request a return for the item you no longer want.
